Dear Members and Industry Colleagues

The RICS has formed an internationally accredited panel of dispute resolution specialists, who will work in tandem with the South African Government’s Voluntary Court Mediation scheme, which encourages built environment cases to be resolved by industry expert mediators. To support this initiative, the RICS Dispute Resolution team will be travelling to Johannesburg in October to deliver two intensive mediation courses:

Introduction to Mediation and Dispute Resolution

This 3-day training course will provide you with an introduction to mediation as an alternative method of dispute resolution.

Date: Wednesday 2 – Friday 4 October, Balalaika Hotel, Sandton, Gauteng
Price: R12 000 (no VAT)
Contact: Alexandra de Beer at adebeer@rics.org or on +27 (0)21 975 5537

RICS Accredited Mediator Certificate

This 5-day training course will enable you to bring together conflicting parties and facilitate a discussion in an impartial and professional manner. Successful completion of the full course is recognised as 50 hours of CPD and results in RICS Accredited Mediator status. Graduates can then apply to join the Southern African RICS President's Panel of Mediators.
