New
plant bolsters production at Trident
AVENG subsidiary Trident Steel's beneficiation drive will receive
a substantial boost with the commissioning of a steel processing
plant in Saldanha, Western Cape, by the end of the year. The R65m
plant will use about 30000 tons of steel a year from Iscor's Saldanha
Steel and from the Duferco steel plant to produce blanks, which
can be used for the production of items such as drums and satellite
dishes.
