Students rewarded for hard work

On the 3rd April 2014, the immediate past president of the ASAQS, Mr Deon Vermeulen, bestowed several prizes on students at UCT.

The Association of SA Quantity Surveyors Prizes (R800, R1000, R1200 and R1500)  for the best student in each year of study, respectively, for the BSc (Construction Studies) and the BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying went to:
1st YEAR (R800)         MR AM ALEXANDER
2nd YEAR (R1000) MR CC FENNELL
3RD YEAR (R1200) MS S RIDLEY
QS HONS (R1500) MR K VALAYDON

We wish to congratulate these students on their achievements.

The Bell-John Prize (R1500) for the best all-round student registered for BSc(CS) in any year of study OR BSc(Hons)(QS) was awarded to Mr. A.M. Alexander.

Ms S. Ridley was judged to be the best 3rd
Yesr student in BSc(Construction Studies) at UCT

Mr K.Valaydon was awarded a R1,500 prize
for being the best BSc(Hons) student in Quantity
Surveying.


The Association of SA Quantity Surveyors Gold Medal award will be nominated at a later stage.The medal is awarded to a student who has obtained his/her degree, whose academic achievements are of outstanding merit and whose personal qualities promise to contribute positively to the profession.
