Did you hear?
A Kempton Park, Johannesburg, man was furious last Saturday when his DSTV picture began to flicker and distort. This turned to rage when the picture disappeared, and he stormed out to the garden to check the dish. On the roof was a thief in the process of dismantling the dish. Discovered, the man leapt from the roof and ran empty-handed into the neighbour's garden. Unfortunately for him, the neighbour was sipping beer on his veranda with a pistol on the table and his faithful doberman pinscher by his side. He fired a shot at the fleeing thief and set the dog on him. The thief leapt over to the next neighbour's garden - over a spiked wall, which claimed his trousers. Hearing the commotion, this neighbour had armed himself with a baseball bat. The trouserless thief was downed by one swift blow from the bat. The police arrived, he was arrested and the neighbours excitedly compared notes.
