Len Harris has a participative interest in education, having been chairman of the Natal Education Council for several years. Currently, he is a member of the Education Advisory Committee and the Legal Committee of the SA Council for Quantity Surveyors
He plays a leading role in the national and provincial promotion, management and administration of the quantity surveying profession, particularly in the sphere of public relations and marketing
Len is married to Brenda, a school counsellor, and they have two children, Vaughan who is employed in the computer industry and Robyn who is studying industrial engineering at the University of Stellenbosch
Len Harris was born in Durban and matriculated at Estcourt High School. He studied through the College of Estate Management / University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
