Lucas Chauke was awarded a
Diploma in Land Surveying (with distinction) by the Mmadakoti Technical College (Pietersburg) in 1979
Baccalaureus Scientiae in Quantity Surveying by the University of Natal, Durban, in 1984
He was employed in private practice until 1988, when he accepted a position with the former government in Gazankulu and following his promotion to the post of Chief Director in the Gazankulu Department of Public Works, in 1994 Lucas Chauke was instrumental in assisting the newly-constituted Government of the Northern Province in restructuring and integrating four former administrations
In 1995, he returned to the private sector and accepted a full partnership in the QUANTIMET practice. Lucas is married to Cynthia, and they have 1 son and 3 daughters
Lucas Chauke, who is fluent in six languages, plays a leading role in promoting the interests of small, emerging contractors. Based on his extensive experience and knowledge of government procedures, he provides practical support in the development of communities at grass roots level
