MEET THE PAST-PRESIDENT OF ASAQS 2002/03

DES LINDER IS:

• National President of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors, 2002/2003
• A Registered Quantity Surveyor and partner in the practice of Linder Weidemann & Associates

He is a member of the

• Board of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors since 1998 and serves on the Executive, General Practice Committee and the Committee for Engineering matters.
• The Construction Alliance (RSA)
• ADP Evaluation & Monitoriing Committee for DPW New Consultants Roster.
• Member of the Properties Committee of the Archdiocese of Pretoria.
• Nu-Muckleneuk Tennis Club, currently serving as chairman of the club.

Des was born on 18 december 1955 and has shown leadership qualities from a young age. He is a keen tennisplayer and was Tennis Captain of his school. He enjoys tennis, gym, sport, gardening and reading.

Desmond Lawrence Linder registered as a quantity surveyor in 1982 after matriculating at Pretoria Boys High School and completing B. Build and BSc(QS) degrees at the University of Port Elizabeth.

Des is married and lives in Centurion.
