Course presenter:

Dr Claire Deacon is an associate of Construction Research Education and Training Enterprises (CREATE), and the managing member of OCCUMED cc t/a Claire Deacon & Associates. Claire is a professional Construction Health and Safety Agent (PrCHSA) registered with the SACPCMP. She also has a BSc (Med) (Hons) Biomedical Engineering from UCT, as well as a PhD in Construction Management from NMU. Claire is involved with a number of construction projects in the field across South Africa. Claire also serves as a Council member on both the SACPCMP and the CBE, is the Executive Director of the Association of Construction H&S Management (ACHASM) and interim chair of the Built Environment Professions Grouping (BEPG).
Claire has conducted many research projects and has a number of publications relating to construction ergonomics and 20 years of experience in various industries.

Our policy states that the following requirements should be met in order for you to qualify for an attendance certificate:

To earn your CPD Hours for attending a webinar you are required to:
• Register and pay for the event
• Be present online for the duration of the webinar
• When the webinar is presented in parts, be present online for each part
• Participate by completing the “Polls”, and making use of the “Q&A” and/or the “Chat” functions
• Meeting these requirements will ensure that you receive an attendance certificate on completion of the webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts

How are these requirements monitored?
• The webinar software records the time that you enter, and the time that you leave the webinar, providing proof of presence
• It also records every time you make use of the “Chat” or “Q&A” function and when you complete a “Poll”, all providing proof of participation
• The software identifies you by your e-mail address. To ensure the accuracy of your records, please use the same e-mail address when joining a webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts

ASAQS/EduTech are not responsible for:
• Any problems you may experience trying to join the webinar.
• Any problems with your internet connectivity during the webinar.
• However, to assist you in this regard, we are prepared to award you an attendance certificate if you were present for at least 75% of the duration of the webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts
