Course Overview:

The aim of this webinar is to help delegates:

  • To develop an understanding of the current state of the built environment in South Africa
  • To develop an understanding of the business cycle.
  • To develop knowledge about key economic variables and their influence on business, specifically the built environment
  • To use economic information and data in decision making, both long and short term, effectively.

Course presenter:

Craig Lemboe is a senior economist at the Bureau for Economic Research (BER).His main focus at the BER is on the construction sector and he is the editor of the quarterly Building and Construction report as well as co-editor of the Building Cost report. Craig is also responsible for analysing and forecasting trends in fixed investment and has extensive knowledge of the Western Cape economy. Craig holds a Master’s of Economics degree and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree, both from Stellenbosch University.

How are these requirements monitored?
• The webinar software records the time that you enter, and the time that you leave the webinar, providing proof of presence
• It also records every time you make use of the “Chat” or “Q&A” function and when you complete a “Poll”, all providing proof of participation
• The software identifies you by your e-mail address. To ensure the accuracy of your records, please use the same e-mail address when joining a webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts
