Course Overview:

Join the conversation on global consistency in construction and life cycle cost reporting. Gain firsthand insight from an international panel representing the ICMS Coalition. What are the International Construction Measurement Standards (ICMS), how can they be applied and why should they be adopted?

With a growing trend towards globalization and the delivery of professional services across borders, there is an increasing need for international perspective and acumen. The panel discussion begins the conversation on this important subject by considering the benefits of the ICMS for:

  • Global investment decisions
  • Consistent data to go into a Building Information Model (BIM)
  • International, national, regional or state cost comparisons
  • Feasibility studies and development appraisals
  • Project work including cost planning and control, cost analysis, cost modelling and the procurement and analysis of tenders
  • Dispute resolution work
  • Reinstatement costs of insurance
  • Valuation of assets and liabilities.

Justin Sullivan FRICS – Chairman of the ICMS Trustees.  CEO of Adair. RICS registered Expert Witness. Deputy Chair Construction Industry Council (UK)

Ken Creighton – Past Chair of the ICMS Trustees. Ken is the RICS Director of Standards, leading the organisation's contribution to the development of international standards. (UK)

Gerry O’Sullivan – Vice-Chair of the Standards Setting Committee (UK)

Julie Dela Cruz – ICMS Trustee (Philippines)

To earn your CPD Hours for attending a webinar you are required to:
•Register and pay for the event
•Be present online for the duration of the webinar
•When the webinar is presented in parts, be present online for each part
•Participate by completing the “Polls”, and making use of the “Q&A” and/or the “Chat” functions
•Meeting these requirements will ensure that you receive an attendance certificate on completion of the webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts

How are these requirements monitored?
•The webinar software records the time that you enter, and the time that you leave the webinar, providing proof of presence
•It also records every time you make use of the “Chat” or “Q&A” function and when you complete a “Poll”, all providing proof of participation
•The software identifies you by your e-mail address. To ensure the accuracy of your records, please use the same e-mail address when joining a webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts

•Any problems you may experience trying to join the webinar.
•Any problems with your internet connectivity during the webinar.
•However, to assist you in this regard, we are prepared to award you an attendance certificate if you were present for at least 75% of the duration of the webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts
