Use of the "Networking and Careers" feature

Managing your profile correctly is important

The new database has many features that are governed by the choices you make when setting up your profile.

One feature which is causing some confusion is the use of the "Networking & Careers" section when you select to manage your profile.

We suggest that you only use this feature if you are either looking for a career opportunity or wish to publish a job available.

Should you wish to publish the fact that you are in the job market, use the CV/Resumé feature.  If you make your CV/Resumé searchable then select "Yes" to the first two options under the Privacy Options section. Your CV will now be searchable and will be included in the Weekend Property and Construction Newsletter.

You can use this feature to compile a personal resumé but then make sure that you select the correct options in the privacy settings or else your C.V. may find it's way into the public domain - something you may not have wished to happen!

If you have a vacancy in your practice feel free to use the Career Postings feature. You use this feature to advertise jobs and also to manage and respond to applicants. All career openings will be included in the Weekend Property and Construction Newsletter.

We trust that you are finding the new website features simple and easy to use and encourage any questions in this regard as we want our members to feel at ease when using the site.
