Drive to get Firm's listed correctly on the ASAQS database

Our recent article on the importance of getting your firm's listing correct, is in support of a concerted effort to get our database correct. Without a reliable database of membership information the ASAQS is flying blind and severely hampered in providing effective services to it's members. Clients, such as the NDPW, are also hampered as they want to use our website to check which firms are listed in a certain area and who the person in charge of that firm is. 

Firm's however, have to take ownership of their information on the database and this is best done by making one person in the firm responsible for keeping the infomation up to date. That person should be provided with the username and password required into the firm's profile and asked, not only to fill in all the required fields, but also to upload the firm logo, phtotographs of recent projects, etc.

Smaller firms who do not have their own websites, may not realise it but, the firm profile on ASAQS is in essence a mini-website provided to them free of charge! It is fully searchable not only through the ASAQS website but can also be Googled like any other website on the Internet. 

By completing their profiles in detail, firms who already have websites will also benefit. Because of the high rating that the ASAQS website enjoys on Google, a link back to your own website from your profile page will increase your ranking on most search engines.

Firms who have more than one office should decide whether to centralise or decentralise the resposibility to keep their information up to date. If you wish to have a single person resposible for all the branches you need to contact Merilda at the ASAQS so that a single username and password can be allocated to gain access to all your profiles.
