Professional Member - PMAQS

Any person who is a Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) in good standing with the SACQSP

A copy of your qualifications
A copy of your identity document
Proof of payment of ASAQS membership fees
PrQS Certificate of Registration from the SACQSP
Confirmation of Good Standing from the SACQSP

Practice Member

A Firm/Practice can be registered by any Professional Quantity Surveyor who is:

Registered as a PrQS in good standing with the SACQSP
Registered at a PMAQS in good standing with the ASAQS

PrQS Certificate of Registration from the SACQSP
Company Letterhead with name of Firm/Practice to be registered
Copy of Identity Document of individual registering the Firm/Practice
Proof of payment of ASAQS membership fees
Confirmation of Good Standing from the SACQSP
CIPC Documents

Member - MAQS

Any person who:

Has a 480 (or 360) NQF credit qualification from a SACQSP accredited Quantity Surveying programme
Has full membership of any professional institution with which the ASAQS has a reciprocity agreement at the time of application, subject to the terms of the reciprocity agreement
Has been employed and active in a quantity surveying environment whether in a professional consultancy or the construction industry, for a period as the board may prescribe from time to time
Complies with such other conditions as the board may prescribe from time to time

A copy of your qualifications
SACQSP Certificate of Registration as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor (if applicable)
A copy of your identification document
Proof of payment of ASAQS membership fees
SAQA Certificate of Evaluation (if you have an international qualification)

Associate Member 
– MAQS (Associate)

Any person who:

Has been admitted by the council for registration as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor other than those persons that are admitted in the member category

Has an entry qualification accepted by the council for consideration as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor

Complies with such other conditions as the board may prescribe from time to time

A copy of your qualifications
A copy of your identification document
Proof of payment of ASAQS membership fees
SAQA Certificate of Evaluation (if you have an international qualification)

Student member – MAQS (Student)

Any student in quantity surveying at a University, University of Technology or any other educational programme accredited by the SACQSP

Students are not required to submit any documents or proof of payment
