Bruno completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of South Africa, whilst simultaneously gaining exposure and experience in the legal field. Quintin de Klerk

Quintin de Klerk holds a Master’s Degree in Construction Law, Arbitration and Adjudication, is an accredited mediator, and is a qualified Professional Civil Engineer with 25 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry. A vast majority of his experience was gained in construction and contracting, in particular MEIP, steel design, fabrication and construction, and heavy industrial maintenance for the mining, mineral processing and petrochemical industries. As most of his time on these projects was spent in African and Indian Ocean Region countries, he became well-seasoned in the challenges of project management and negotiation under those conditions. His duties included management of personnel and efficient contract administration for maximum profitability. Of primary importance was his interaction with clients for optimum satisfaction and relationship building.

Quintin also branched out into the consulting engineering and project management sectors of the industry. He gained extensive experience in the management of multi-disciplinary project teams, development and design of civil services and bulk earthworks, site evaluations, leading and guiding design teams, conferring with developers for optimal project development, the design of major storm water management systems (including open channel systems) and the general business and personnel management of a consulting practice.

In 2009 he was appointed as General Manager for a medium sized Mechanical and Electrical contractor in Mauritius which moved him into the arena of international business. In this executive role his principal duties of Profit and Loss Management required him to negotiate and strategise at the Senior Management level, taking Quintin across the globe and to varied business cultures. This environment, fraught with legal and financial risks, required brisk and accurate decision-making and effective negotiation skills. In 2011 Quintin established an Engineering and Construction Consultancy. Through experience gained and additional formal training he qualified as a trainer and consultant. This has enabled him to keep his finger on the pulse of developments and challenges within this field.

Additionally, during the last decade and a half, Quintin has conducted training seminars, face-to-face or via online platforms, for the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS). This broadened him into lecturing on an ad-hoc basis for the Nelson Mandela University, University of Pretoria and for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Quintin is currently serving as an Associate Director with HKA Global, specialising in dispute resolution and contractual claims analysis.

Peter is a lead partner in the Construction and Engineering Law practice area. He has practised as an admitted attorney in South Africa since 2012 and has extensive litigation and dispute resolution experience. Throughout his career, he has become an industry leader in construction and procurement dispute resolution, both in litigation and alternate dispute resolution forums.

While he has broad commercial litigation experience, his expertise lies in the construction and engineering arena. He has advised and dealt with disputes relating to all manner of construction and engineering projects throughout Africa. In his work, he has assisted and acted for developers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers alike.

Peter also specialises in procurement law and frequently attends to tender appeals. As a result of this expertise, he frequently provides presentations to the Master Builders Association, the Association of Quantity Surveyors and the Association of Architects and is a recurring member of the Joint Building Contract Drafting Committee. He holds a PhD in Engineering Management from the University of Johannesburg.

Dr. Eugene Seah is a seasoned professional with extensive experience spanning various sectors. Holding a BSc in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading, he began his career at Davis Langdon & Seah, rising to become a Partner by 2008. Eugene's academic journey includes diverse qualifications such as BSc in Technology and Computing, MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration, and MSc in Sustainable Building Design. He augmented his expertise with programs from Harvard and diplomas from the Institute of Adult Learning, Singapore University of Social Science.

Eugene's commitment to continuous learning culminated in a Professional Doctorate in Construction Management from the European International University and a PhD from the Swiss Business School. He also received honorary doctorates from FACMED, Brazil, and The University of Logos.

Transitioning to Surbana Jurong in 2017, Eugene spearheaded initiatives in Smart Cities and sustainability. His achievements include leading Surbana Technologies to multiple awards and orchestrating a successful M&A with a Systems Integration company. He then joined Meinhardt Group as Global Director and COO, focusing on digital transformation and sustainability.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Eugene contributes actively to the community, serving as Chairman of the National Youth Achievement Award Council and President of Building Smart Singapore Chapter. He is also involved in educational institutions and industry organizations, exemplifying his commitment to knowledge sharing and mentorship.
