Continuing professional development (CPD) is the only way to ensure that you stay professionally registered!

It meets the mandatory requirements of the Quantity Surveying Professional Act (Act 49 of 2000) in that registered persons need to apply for the renewal of their registration, and it ensures the development of the quantity surveying profession as a learned society of highly skilled professionals.

The Quantity Surveying Profession Act empowers the SACQSP to determine the conditions related to CPD which includes:

• Earning a minimum of 10 CPD hours in category 1 per annum
• Earning a maximum of 15 CPD Hours in category 2 per annum
• Accumulating 125 CPD hours in a 5-year cycle

Failure to meet the annual requirements can result in your Certificate of Registration and your Confirmation of Good Standing being withheld.

Failure to meet your 5-year cycle requirements can result in de-registration.
