Lydia is currently the Deputy Director Project Controls with Lebalelo Water Users Association.   Lydia has 37 years’ experience as a professional quantity surveying in managing various construction projects, delivering strategic direction across multi-disciplinary projects, handling construction contract claims and negotiations from the Employer as well as the Contractor’s perspective, providing project assurance, serving as a NEC adjudicator and expert witnessing in many disputes.  She’s also been engagement manager for external and internal audit technical assistance to various construction client’s which entails assessing risks, claims and disputes to calculate estimated revenue and end of site calculations.

Lydia previously served in a Director’s position for 7 years at PwC and a further 17 years, including 8 years as a Managing Director, of a substantial multi-disciplinary company providing quantity surveying, project managing, financial managing, mine scheduling and claims adjudicating type of services.

Lydia’s experience includes industries such as Power & Utilities, Paper, Oil & Gas, Mining, Engineering infrastructure, Water, Building, Industrial and Recreational in both the Government & Public sector and the Private sector.   

Lydia has worked in South Africa, Dubai, Zambia, Mozambique, DRC, Namibia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Angola, Ghana and St Helena’s island.

Earning your CPD Hours:

Our policy states that the following requirements should be met in order for you to qualify for an attendance certificate:

To earn your CPD Hours for attending a webinar you are required to:
•Register and pay for the event
•Be present online for the duration of the webinar
•When the webinar is presented in parts, be present online for each part
•Participate by completing the “Polls”, and making use of the “Q&A” and/or the “Chat” functions
•Meeting these requirements will ensure that you receive an attendance certificate on completion of the webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts

How are these requirements monitored?
•The webinar software records the time that you enter, and the time that you leave the webinar, providing proof of presence
•It also records every time you make use of the “Chat” or “Q&A” function and when you complete a “Poll”, all providing proof of participation
•The software identifies you by your e-mail address. To ensure the accuracy of your records, please use the same e-mail address when joining a webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts

ASAQS/EduTech are not responsible for:
•Any problems you may experience trying to join the webinar.
•Any problems with your internet connectivity during the webinar.
•However, to assist you in this regard, we are prepared to award you an attendance certificate if you were present for at least 75% of the duration of the webinar, or all the parts thereof when presented in parts
